JOB TITLE: Project Manager – Global Fleet

FUNCTION: OPERATIONS

SUB FUNCTION:  Procurement

LOCATION: Globe House, London

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term (18 months)

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful implementation of our Fleet Data and Safety IT Portal, with additional responsibilities for fleet management strategy development and large-scale project implementations. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project, ensuring the seamless integration of telematics and cost data into the portal and delivering initial insights that will drive operational improvements, safety enhancements, fleet optimisation, electrification strategies, utilisation improvements and charging infrastructure development across a fleet of 15,000 vehicles globally.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Project Management: Lead the implementation project from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and managing all project activities.
  • Third-Party Contracting: Facilitate further contracting needs to ensure data is provided to global fleet tool provider from third parties.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party sources, to gather existing telematics and cost data, ensuring it is accurately integrated into the portal.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with 3rd party to implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and reliability within the portal.
  • Analysis and Insights: Utilise data analysis tools and techniques to extract initial insights from the portal, which will inform actionable recommendations for operational improvements, safety enhancements, fleet optimisation, electrification strategies, utilisation improvements, and charging infrastructure development.
  • Fleet Management Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive fleet management strategies that align with organisational goals and regulatory requirements, focusing on safety, decarbonisation, utilisation, and charging infrastructure.
  • Large-Scale Project Implementations: Lead the implementation of large-scale projects related to safety improvements, decarbonisation initiatives, utilisation enhancements, and charging infrastructure development, ensuring alignment with overall fleet management strategy.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep stakeholders, including third-party providers, informed throughout the implementation process, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data analysts, fleet, product development, operations, and finance, to ensure the successful implementation of fleet management initiatives.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the implementation process, data integration, insights generated, fleet management strategies, and project implementations.
  • Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to improve the portal's utility and support them in leveraging insights for better decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks and issues that may arise during the implementation process and proactively develop solutions.
  • Post-Implementation Assessment: Conduct post-implementation assessments to measure the success of the portal and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

  • Demonstrable experience in project management within international organisations.
  • Experience with fleet management, telematics, or safety solutions
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of ESG principles

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from data.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills to engage with partners at all levels.
  • Diligent with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • The ability to influence and facilitate ownership and commitment by management
  • Good technical and management skills including problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to work with and integrate with other teams

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Business, Project Management).
