British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Global Performance Reporting KPIs and Data Insights Specialist in Bucharest.

This role is operationally responsible for supporting all reporting processes, with definition and approach to metrics calculation and various analysis for the Finance area. Supports Operational Teams and End Markets with data outputs, ad-hoc analysis and process optimization recommendations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Operational
    • Ensures the accuracy of calculated and provided data/critical metric results/reports, by promptly collection of information from all collaborators and validating reacquired results
    • Provides support to Performance Reporting managers, Team Leaders and team members on non-standard reports, analysis, audit and global reporting packs
    • Responsible for designing, crafting and delivering high quality and timely analysis/reports regarding various indicators and critical metrics
    • Prepare Power BI Dashboards and presentation decks for various forums
    • Ensure new process integration / migration of new activities while building the capabilities (resources, accesses etc.), detail new activities, UATs, prepare the team members for transition, hyper care supervision, controls implementation from become available.
    • Work closely with the BOC Celonis project team and provide support with clarifications over important metrics methodologies, calculation samples and any other required documentation to enable the data manipulation through Celonis
    • Performs monthly data validations and critical metrics results comparison (Celonis vs internal automation) during deployment stages
  1. Leadership
    • Ensure the important metric, reporting Guidelines are embedded and sustained within the GBS/EM community through trainings and mentor, workshops and presentations, working directly and indirectly with all team members and service lines
    • Fully aware of own responsibilities, capable to take decisions and make recommendations related to standard methodologies
  1. Relationship
    • Proactively develops working relationships with global / regional teams and collaborators, working optimally with cross functional teams from various business/geographical areas
  1. Innovations
    • Actively seeks out opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Finance reporting
    • Develops and applies guidelines and procedures for calculating Finance metrics and important performance indicators, while also assisting in ongoing improvement initiatives in this field.
    • Drive simplification on current activities while using sophisticated technology tools (Celonis, Alteryx, PowerBI, macros).

What are we looking for?

Experience Required

  • At least 1 year experience in a Performance Reporting role
  • Good understanding of Finance R2P processes in GBS
  • Proven record to deliver independently, with limited mentorship

Functional working understanding of

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and financial modelling skills with confirmed understanding of the principles of business strategy, financial statement analysis, market trends
  • Have a good understanding of both Share Services and tobacco business

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • High proficiency for Excel and PowerBI
  • MS Office applications

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in an Economics, Accounting, Statistics or other Business area

Managerial & Interpersonal

  • Proactive demeanor and flexible approach

Improving Processes

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (at least Yellow Belt)

Customer Service

  • Address barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination

Organizational Skills

  • Ability to handle sophisticated environments trough partner leadership skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Pays attention to details, critical thinker, proactive and able to work under minimum supervision
